If you have a medical emergency and feel you need to see a doctor that day please call from 8am.
We offer 10 minute appointments with the doctor, the doctors have their own consulting times and you will be advised by reception if wished. We offer book on the day appointments with any of the available doctors the days they are working at the Practice:
Dr M Akinola: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Dr P Moorthy Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Once you have made an appointments, you will be phoned and assessed by the doctor. If needed, the doctor will offer you a face appointment when clinically appropriate.
Other clinicians' appointments such as Nurses, Health Care Assistant, Physician Associates, Physiotherapist and Clinical Pharmacist can be booked in advance. The "book on the day" system will only apply to GP appointments.
If you require a home visit, please call on the day before 10am.
We have an on-call duty doctor every day, Monday to Friday who will operate a telephone triage system for patients requesting an emergency appointment. Reception will put your name on a triage list and the doctor or the paramedic will call you back to assess your case and give you an appointment where appropriate. All urgent requests will be dealt with on the day.
Please ask if you would like someone to accompany you during an examination.
- Please be aware that we have a calling-in screen at Botley Medical Centre located within in the waiting room that will display your name and the doctor you are seeing at your appointment time
This Practice is running a "book on the day" appointment system. GP Appointments are released on a day to day basis. If you need to be contacted by the Doctor, please, phone the surgery on 01865 248719/01865 730911. The GP will call you back to perform a telephone or video consultation. If you need to be seen face to face, they will advise you on the system already in place for these visits.
For emergencies/urgent care there is a Doctor and a Paramedic on site that will contact you for assessment.
Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Physician Associate, Clinical Pharmacist, Social Prescriber's appointments, etc.. can be booked in advance.
