Home Visits

Home visits are for patients who are infirm and housebound and therefore unable to attend the surgery. Transport to the surgery should be arranged if possible, by a friend, relative or taxi.

Patients are requested to come to the surgery for a consultation as full facilities are available for tests and treatment and you will be seen sooner. If you require a home visit, please telephone before 10.30 am. The receptionist will request details regarding the nature of the visit and your name will be put onto a triage list for a doctor to call you back.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
